The Domain La Villatade sits in the foothills of the impressive Montagne Noire with its unique schist, marl and limestones soil that inspired the name of two of the Chateau wines.
“Côtes Noires” 2016 (AOP MINERVOIS)
This vintage, a blend of Syrah and Grenache, fully adapted to the Côtes Noires soil, with an intense aroma of red and black fruits and spicy notes, and a slight menthol finish. The mouth confirms its fullness, it is a dense, round, fruity and balanced wine. To serve at 16° C with red meats, game or aged cheese.
“Côtes Noires – Réserve” 2016 (AOP MINERVOIS)
The limited and a harmonious production make a refined, elegant and complex blend of Syrah and Grenache. This wine has an intense garnet color, the nose is explosive, with a subtle balance of red and black fruit aroma dominated by spices, and notes of underwood. A beautiful, powerful, structured wine, with a rich fruity mouth, and a great sweetness of well-balanced tannins.
We currently offer our “V” de Villatade trilogy with a Rosé (AOP Minervois), a White (IGP Pays d’Oc) and a Red more complex and aged in oak barrels. The ‘V’ Rosé has bee rewarded 3 years in a row by G&G with a gold Medal .
“LE VIN DE SOPHIE” (IGP Pays d’Oc)
Last but not least, from our suitably vineyard plot named “Paradis”, Le Vin de Sophie wine is of a seductive and magnetic character with a gorgeous ruby color and a wealth of red fruits aroma, and a silky finish. To be served fresh, from 12 ° C to 13 ° C.
